I purchased two of these and had them cut and programmed by my local dealer service center. Both work flawlessly on my 2012 Mazda CX-9. My only gripe is that they don’t have the Mazda logo on them; just an open slot where the logo would be. That being said, for this price versus the roughly $300 (before cut/program fees) the dealer wanted for a fob, I can live with no logo.

Works great
It worked great. I just put the top key part of the key I had on to the new one. I programmed it and it worked great. It's nice to be able to unlock the doors remotely. Now I got to get the blank cut for a spare. Hopefully I can use AAA's locksmith plan to get it done free but I'll have to look into that

I went to my Mazda dealership and they wanted to charge me $500 for a new key fob. I kept changing battery but could not get it to work, I didn't need the Key part i just wanted working remote. I ordered was skeptical because oh how cheap it was. I got it looked up programming instructions online and it actually programmed easily and worked. I just put in my factory key part in this fob saved me hundreds.I ordered a second one to have as a spare.I went to my Mazda dealership and they wanted to charge me $500 for a new key fob. Great value, but one complaint
I ordered 2 key fobs (to have a spare), after I ran over my key with the lawn mower. It costed us $150 to have them cut and programmed by a locksmith (with my wife's key as the pattern). This was far cheaper than going to Mazda. There is a cutout on the back side of the fob that would normally be filled by the Mazda name symbol. No big deal. The quality feels solid, and the buttons work well with about a 50' range. The ONLY complaint I have, is that the ring comes separate from the fob and is not attached. It was almost impossible to attach the key ring to the fob without bending the end of the ring so that the end of the ring would thread out the other side of the cutout in the fob. Therefore, the ring that is sent is too big for the fob. See the photo of the genuine Mazda fob. Thanks ... I ordered 2 key fobs (to have a spare), after I ran over my key with the lawn mower.
