I had special interest in this film
I have wanted a DVD of this movie for a long time. When I was living in Los Angeles in 1961 and attending Pasadena Playhouse I had opportunity of going to two or three film premieres and this was one of them. I had my picture taken with Sandra Dee & Bobby Darin and got autograph of John Saxon (not in this film but he was at premiere) and actually was standing in lobby after the showing and Rock Hudson asked me to step aside as I was in his path to exit. It is a fun movie and having this DVD brought back a very fond memory of a day long, long ago.I have wanted a DVD of this movie for a long time. First film with Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee
The Italian set for this film is gorgeous. Filmed on location, Rock Hudson is a wealthy businessman with a seasonal hideaway in Italy where some American girls are staying at while Rober Talbot (Hudson) arrives unexpectedly, not aware that his caretaker Maurice (Walter Slezak) has transformed his home in to an off-season resort hotel. A group of young men travelling through Italy see the girls and decide to follow them, not being allowed to stay at the hotel, which by now Talbot has admonished Maurice for turning in to, but the boys instead camp out in front of Talbot's home. Talbot concentrates on his love interest, Gina Lollobrigida, while the boys develop relationships with the girls. Bobby Darin turns in an outstanding performance of "Multiplication" in the film. Come entertainment
This movie was a first for me a very real engaging romantic comedy w/ great stars Rock Hudson, Gina Lolabridgida, Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin all very talented actors I was thoroughly surprised and delighted by the characters and the plot. The scenery was beautiful and panoramic I really liked this movie definitely a must see for any hopeful romantic like me

Very funny but at the end it makes you think of what choices to make.
Funny, funny, and more funny. We watched this movie at least a dozen times and every time we watch it we still laugh as if we've never watched it before. Highly recommend.
