Mary, Queen of Scots
After a concert tour to the UK in July, my wife and I were impressed to read this volume about the life and history of Mary, Queen of Scots. While in Edinburgh, we discovered that this was a standard in the field, and since weight and space were considerations on the flight, we decided to purchase after we got home. The story is excellent, and the characters are cleanly defined and structured. History does not suffer in this work. The book is easy to read, clear in its building of relationships in the royalty, (shich is not always the case in English literature), and good print. The story of Mary and her contributions to English history are well defined. Once feels that they are a part of the 'landed gentry' while reading this book. Antonia Frazer's Mary Queen of Scotts: an excellent historical reference.
It is the hardback version of Antonia Frazer's Mary Queen of Scotts is what I ordered and is perfectly fine except for a slight musty odour but still an excellent historical reference.

I Loved It
I can tell that Antonia Fraser was sympathetic to Mary Queen of Scots. This is a very good book. It is very readable, and fast paced. I think that even if you don't normally like history books, this book is a good to read.
