    Great 6CA7s

    I re-tubed my Bugera Infinium 50 guitar amp head with a matched pair of these 6CA7s and a matched quad of Electro-Harmonix 12AX7s. This helped to obtain the mellow blues tone I was looking for. This was a big improvement over the stock tubes the amp came with. I will be ordering a matched quad of these 6CA7s for my vintage Dynaco Stereo-70 amplifier in the near future.

    OK bargain tubes

    Now, I understand these are $25 a tube, but no, they are not anywhere as good as say XF1 or 2 Mullards. They are clean, pretty well balanced, and if I didn’t also have the best EL-34’s out there, would be a nice daily drivers. They just don’t have the magic, as all others also do not have, against the NOS Mullards.
