Product Information

This action-adventure game plays out in a Caribbean of legend, where lost treasures and voodoo curses steer the destinies of rebellious heroes and greedy villains. Gameplay features real-time sword-fighting, 3D platforming, Tomb Raider-style environmental puzzles, and exploration of 18 freely roamed West Indian locations. Players take the role of Francis Blade, who stumbles upon the magic amulet of the "Black Buccaneer" while marooned on a desert island. Much more than a sinisterly shaped hunk of gold, the amulet is bound to the ghostly essence of the frightening rouge for whom it is named, and coveys to its bearer both his magic powers and his ruinous curse. Francis embarks on an epic journey to save his new ghostly companion -- as well as himself -- from eternal damnation.

    Pirates: Legend of the Black Buccaneer

    I cant really review the whole game since I gave up after a day of playing. Like the million other "action adventure" clones out there this game doesn't offer much groundbreaking gameplay. If you are a fan of every room being the same, a set of platforms and jumps to make and when you miss you can try again! (this happens a LOT) Be prepared to crank up the brightness on your screen since most of the rooms have a shadow hidden platform or door you are supposed to have found. The graphics are good compared to other games of this timeframe but wheather in the beach or temple every room looks just like the last one. If you can't get enough of games that make you make perfectly timed jumps and little else this is the game for you! If you want stragedy or a enjoyable game you would want to play ...

    cool looking game, but confusing

    I liked the graphics, and the story line. The main character is pretty cool, and does some great moves. Even the sound track is good. But, there are not a whole lot of clues, and the game can get a little boring at times. You really have to have a lot of patience to just figure it out what you should do next. The manuel is useless, and there are not a whole lot of clues. I quit after 3 or 4 hours.
