About this product

Product Information

Acting as master of ceremonies, Bilko tries to book Bing Crosby for a performance at Fort Baxter in "Sgt. Bilko Presents Bing Crosby," but if the songster doesn't show up, the sergeant might have to employ an impersonator. Although Bilko wants a dashing young cadet to be the new poster-boy for the army, Doberman has other plans, in the rib-tickling episode "The Face on the Recruiting Poster."

  • Two Hilarious Bilko Episodes w/ a Great Special Guest

This VHS tape contains two very funny episodes of The Phil Silvers Show (a.k.a. Sgt. Bilko) which you won't find on the 50th anniversary DVD set. The first episode on the tape is "Sgt. Bilko Presents Bing Crosby." Bilko attempts to bring famous crooner Bing Crosby to Fort Baxter to perform, but once the tickets have all been sold, he finds out Bing can't make it. This is a great episode, featuring both Bing and his brother/manager Everett Crosby as special guests. The second episode on the tape is "The Face on the Recruiting Poster," in which Bilko tries to interest Hollywood in a handsome soldier ...
