    Samson CO 2 Review.

    For $100 these mics are the bomb! They pick up everything pretty well, too, except for the kick drum, which you need to mic. The do need phantom power, so make sure you're using an interface that can handle that...no big deal. Either way...if you're budget conscience, as I am, these are an AMAZING value.

    Good Drum Overheads

    I bought these to use as drum overhead mics for live gigs. We use the "Glyn Johns Drum Mic Technique" and they sound great. Really captures the cymbals and the snare also.

    Great set to have. no matter your studio level.

    I for years used a set of MXL's and they still work great. I bought these after all the reviews and videos I watched. The C02's are great as an X-Y pattern on an acoustic guitar.

    I've recorded just using one microphone, had to make a temporary mike stand. The clarity in mono recording on a Tascsm DR-40 is just totally awesome. I would highly recommend these for studio recording anytime.
