OEM GM Purge Valve
This GM OEM Purge Valve was the same as the OEM one I replaced it with. This is my 3rd one. These things don't last too long as they get really noisy and then eventually throw a P0496 code. It had a recall but GM would only replace it once for me since the 2nd on lasted 3 years until it threw a code. Changing this part is easy and only takes 15 mins with an 8mm socket to remove the air duct tube and 10mm socket to remove the purge valve(after you remove the engine cover which is one screw). One tip, remove this part first with the 10mm socket and then unplug the wire and vacuum line coming off it. There is plenty of slack on those once you get the Purge Valve off. This is much easier then trying to remove the wire and hose while the Purge Valve is still connected to the Engine since it is ...
