    Works great

    I ordered the hood struts for the CX5 after getting a set for my MX5. They went on easily and work great - not too fast in raising the hood which is good and they raise it a bit further than the stock hood prop did. It can be a bit tricky installing the brackets along the fender as there is a big hole just beneath where the bracket bolts in and it's easy to drop a nut or washer. It can help to cover this with a rag and it doesn't hurt to have a magnetic telescoping probe around. Other than that, installation is easy and straightforward.

    Overall seems to function well and installs easily. Fender bolts too short. Had to purchase longer bolts for the fender mounts.

    Not well constructed

    This item was not designed right and is starting to dent and bend my hood. The bracket may have to be modified to to include a second hole to align where the factory hinge is or else less people are going to buy and more return them.
