      HX effects

      Exactly the unit needed if you are sick of all the modeling crap out there ! I have excellent amps and play in stereo, so I don't want nor need modeling, just wanted pure effects and that is what this pedal is! There will be a learning curve when you start programming, but pay attention to the manual and make sure to run it in the 4 or 7 cable method! You will then add the effects loop block but make sure you only select the send function! Effects sound 10x better that way, and after the preamp!!       Powerful Unit, but...

      My experience was that, although there are tons of great sounding effects in the unit and it was fairly easy to program and use, it degraded my core tone too much. Additionally, it reacted poorly with my amplifier (BluGuitar Amp 1) - strange digital distortion/crackling noises. However, this doesn’t happen with my Synergy rig but, for me, the altering of my sound was too much to ignore. If you don’t mind how effect units alter your sound, this is an amazing piece of gear. Just not right for me.

      Perfect for P&W Guitar

      I replaced my entire pedal board, except my volume pedal, with the Helix! I even sold my Strymon Bigsky because I didn’t need it anymore. If you’re a tone purist, you may find some things to nit pick, but for the price, I was able to sell all my other pedals, lighten my pedal board weight, and have MORE options than what I had with my other pedals. For the price, I don’t think you can beat it!

      All in one Box

      Loose your giant pedal board. Sometimes you can't have amps on stage, so you need something like this. this one does not have the amp and cab simulators so you need an amp. This comes real close to analog sounds. Its easy to travel with and set up.

      So many effects - so little time

      Feature packed and not too bad in the human interface department. Getting through the menus can be tedious, but save what you like and you'll be fine. Great tones that are easily edited. Hard to beat-but nothing gets a 5 unless it's perfect.
