THAT 70S SHOW is an enormously popular and hip situation comedy that built its success on the vast comedic potential the decade of 70s has to offer, with its seemingly endless wealth of hilarious styles and pop-culture references. But the show has also consistently delivered complex themes and surprisingly subtle storylines, addressing everything from the demise of the family unit to the decisions and dilemmas faced by teenagers everywhere, all without adopting a moralistic or simplistic viewpoint. At the heart of the series is Eric Forman (Topher Grace), who lives with his parents Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) in a suburban Wisconsin town. Their basement is the center of the social scene for Eric and his friends, who gather there to discuss the intricacies of teenage existence. In this, the inaugural season, Eric and his lovely next-door neighbor and girlfriend Donna (Laura Prepon) experience the ups and downs of new love, while the controlling Jackie (Mila Kunis) and her dimwitted boyfriend Kelso (Ashton Kutcher, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT) navigate their own version of a relationship. The gang suffers many misadventures, beginning with the pilot episode, where they get caught illicitly taking Red's car out of town to attend a concert. Later in the season they steal a Christmas tree, streak at a rally for President Ford, experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol, and rock music, and even wind up in prison. The strength and cohesiveness of the Forman family allow them to weather the setbacks they encounter with humor and love in a typical sitcom fasion, but also with a degree of genuine poignancy.

Great Traditional Comedy
That 70s Show is a hilarious comedy that shows the average life of teenagers and their families in the 1970s. The characters, the plot, and the entire show is entertaining. Highly recommend to anyone who grew up in the 70s, or anyone who enjoys family sitcoms.

I have purchased all of the first 4 seasons of That 70s Show. With regard to their viewing on a computer, there is an anomaly in accessing the various chapters after the main menu appears; there is an overlay/superimposition between the main menu and the chapters, making mouse selections a blind task, wherein you need to approximate the position of the particular chapter before choosing it. This hampers an accurate choice of the chapters and the "Play All" feature. I have discovered, to remedy this issue, one must use the right and left and then up and down directional arrow keys, toggling back and forth between choice selections, while noting that minimizing and then re-maximizing the problematic window does not remedy the situation. One other solution is to open the actual root menu file ... I have purchased all of the first 4 seasons of That 70s Show. THAT'S 70'S SHOW
This show is about these teens who are addicted to sex and drugs but its still funny though. This show is based on the teenage life of the seventys. And all the steruggles they had and thats what makes the show hilarious.Very funny, and the characters were likeable in their own ways. It led a good run, but by the end, I admit it had to end. The original cast was what made the show special, and with many of the main characters gone as regulars, the show fell apart. But I still continue to be a fan, watching late night reruns, and buying various seasons on dvd. I don't think FOX will come up with another show that will replace That 70s Show well enough; it was that good. If you like comedy, and want to see teens get into stupid idiotic circumstances while laughing your butt off, this is the ... I purchased the 1st season box set and I plan on buying the rest. This show is hilarious and fun!!! Come on, teens in all generations think exactly what these kids are thinking (didn't you??). I think the writers of the series are spot on and I love all the 70's details and sayings. These are great dvds to add to your collection, if you are looking for a light hearted fun comedy that will definetly take you back to a groovier time and really make you laugh. If you read too much into anything you can make it NOT enjoyable, but if you take this show for what it is you will LOVE IT!!!! lol & hope this review helps, let me know??I purchased the 1st season box set and I plan on buying the rest.
