    It’s OK, but would have liked a more sensitive unit.

    Unit arrived well packaged, in a timely manner. It works OK. Beware that many wiring insulation’s may block response. Wish I had paid a couple additional dollars for a more sensitive device.

    Low sensitivity. Not recommended.

    This devise uses 2 AAA easily replaceable batteries which is a plus You must insert the tip of this device all the way into the HOT slot of a receptacle to get a reliable indication that there is power available. I use these type of non contact potential detectors to detect the location of a broken wire in an extension cord, which is a great time saver, but this devise has a low sensitivity, therefore, I am unable to use this device for that type of work. Without a sensitivity control & a high sensitivity to nearby 120 VAC, I am rating this device as not a good non contact potential detector!
