Boris Karloff narrates and stars as the odious Mr. Grinch, the sinister green monster who plots to steal all the Christmas presents in the town of Whoville. All goes well with his dastardly plan until little Cindy Loo Who (who was no more than two) gums up the works with her innocent Christmas spirit. Jones directed, with Karloff supplying the sweetly sinister narration and voice of the Grinch. The story is from the book by Dr. Seuss. Thurl Ravenscroft (of "Tony the Tiger" breakfast commercial fame) provides the memorable bass singing voice for the tune "You're a Mean One, Mister Grinch." Filled with close attention to comic detail, memorable characterizations, and delightful wordplay, this is essential holiday viewing for the whole family.

The grinch
I wanted to buy it because we'd recorded it on the DVR at christmas time and a few weeks ago someone erased it by "accident". MY grandson was devastated, since it won't be on again till next christmas. So I figured I look on ebay and try to find an old one since he has a vcr player in his room already I went with Vhs. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
My family and I curl up every holiday season and have hot chocolate and watch the Grinch. Somehow this year we missed it, and in fear of messing up our holiday tradition I decided to purchase one on eBay (just in case of future holiday mishaps, as well!!) This video is the original classic that my husband and I have been watching since WE were kids!! Perfect in every way!! LOVE IT!!

A Grinch Review
I love this cartoon! My son loves it too. We did not have it and so I took advantage of the low price and won this item. The Grinch story is a great story of redemption. Once having a cold hardened heart and then having a heart bursting with love and joy. Although it doesn't mention the true meaning of Christmas (The celebration of our Saviour's birth), it does have a good message for kids and adults alike.I love this cartoon! My son loves it too. How the Grinch Stole Christmas Video Tape
If we had to do over we would have gotten the DVD. The video lived up to its price. It was cheap and the quality of the video was just that. It is probably fairly old and would not track properly in a new VCR. Even in an older unit that we could adjust the tracking manually, it still did not play well. We will probably break down and purchase the DVD version for next Christmas.
