About this product

Product Information

At the outset of this popular 1980s cartoon series, a planet (known as Thundera) in a far, far away universe is in trouble. Thundera's inhabitants are facing extinction due to the planet's structural instability and looming disintegration. While the planet's offspring (the Thundercats) are able to escape in one piece, their spacecraft is not so lucky. It's wrecked by evil mutants, and then it is up to Jaga, the group's eldest member, to risk his own life to ensure the safe arrival of the Thundercats in their new home--Third Earth. This release contains the first two volumes of episodes from the first season of the show.

    THUNDERCATS HO!!!!! Season ! Volumes 1 and 2

    The 1980's could be considered a golden age of cartoons with G.I. Joe, Transformers, Voltron, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Thundercats. Now Thundercats is out on DVD and I'm glad I picked it up. I'm not big on extras, so I will just speak about the product. The animation and sound are crystal clear and the packaging is fantastic. It plays well and brings me back to a time when life was simpler. If you can find a good Buy It Now price, jump on it, because these are quite hard to find at a bargain. Thunder, THUNDER, THUNDERCATS HO!

    Thunder, thunder, thundercats, HO!

    I grew up watching Thundercats, and I find that I still enjoy it! The quality of the DVD is a bit fuzzy (like it was in the 80s); I had wished that it was re-mastered, but oh well. It still is a terrific series.
