About this product

Product Information

Two different time periods are captured in Driver: Parallel Lines, the fourth game in the cinematic, mission-based racing series from U.K. developer Reflections Interactive. Players begin the game during the "Me Decade," the 1970s, as they guide a self-assured 18-year-old named TK in his bid to become a the best getaway driver in New York City. Things do not go as planned, however, as TK is double-crossed and forced to spend the next 28 years behind bars. The action then moves ahead to 2006, with players engaging in modern-day chases, pick-up runs, heists, shootouts, and more. Parallel Lines offers a choice of 80 drivable vehicles, from cars and bikes to buses and construction machines, with players able to fine-tune and customize their ride's look as the game progresses. Each vehicle will also experience real-time damage throughout over 35 missions set within the city that never sleeps. Players can once again leave their cars at any time to continue missions on foot, acquire an assortment of weapons, and interact with a cast of colorful characters. While exploring the city's streets, players may also engage in optional mini-games like destruction derbies and cops and robbers.

    Straight 70s funk cop show

I've been trying to play this game since childhood. But gamestores like GameStop and play n trade never had them. Probably because it's rare now. It's straight 70s starsky and hutch. I love cop shows and blaxploitation. The music is funky too. I haven't gotten to it due to work and school but as soon as it's over I'm playing it.

  • Driver: parelel lines

well, i can say that Driver: parelel lines is the tops so far, in all the Driver named games, it does blow driver 1 2 and 3 right out of the water! and i thought driver 3 was good! you can do JUST ABOUT anything in Driver: parelel lines, exept the thought of getting laid and selling drugs and stuff like that, that i've heard you can do in grand theft auto, but who wants to sell drugs anyway!? DUM. to keep a long story short, in driver: parelel lines, you can do every thing you could in driver 3 plus more, like, more cars to choose from, a bigger city, it seems, to drive in, more stuff to discover, customisable cars and trucks and is alot more lively than driver 3, but i do see a flaw or 2 in Driver: parelel lines, hopefully they'll come out with a driver 5 and correct these things, keep ...

  • Driver Parallel Lines

The Driver series has always been one of my favorites. Stealing musclecars, sports cars, luxury cars, SUV's and anything else on two or more wheels. What could be better? Being able to race them, jump them or crash them into almost anything in the city and walk away from the wreckage only to do it all over again. Not to mention the fact that during all of this you are trying to complete a mission and evade cops around every corner. Of course this is only a good idea if you are talking about a video game. If that sounds like a good way to spend an afternoon then this is the game to play. The driving physics are good, but tend to be more arcade-like when compared to real-life racing simulations. The open environments and somewhat non-linear gameplay allow you to choose missions at your ...

  • Driver: Parallel Lines (Playstation 2)

I bought Driver:Parallel Lines (Playstation Two) almost three weeks ago. The graphics are much better than Driver three. You have much more options with purchasing cars, changing paint and detailing of cars. In addition the background music is great !!! It has theme music for driving fast cars, music for getting chased all by top artists. The only downside is the profanity. I felt it was totally unnecessary , and took away from the game. Therefore it is not suitable for pre-teens and teenagers. Only mature audiences 18 and older.Thank you .

  • Driver:Parallel Lines

The game is just like the other Driver games only it is set strictly in New York. It is very fun and challenging at the same time. The depth of characters and vehicles make the game extremely rewarding. The only gripes I have about the game is that you cannot open endely modify your vehicle the way you want and once you have beat the game, there is nothing left to do. Overall the game is great and it is a must have among true driving/action enthusiast.
