  • Watched This Because It Was Supposed To Be...

... A Comic Book Based Movie. The fact that it starred Michelle Yeoh added to my placing it on my rental queque to watch. This movie is a little different fare for Michelle Yeoh, who is best known for her big role in CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON. The movie is directed by the Hong Kong filmmaker Jingle Ma, and Michelle is a Co-Producer of the movie. The movie storline is about a woman named Lulu, who is a beautiful millionaire who uses her inheritance to start her secret life as a caped crimefighter called Silver Hawk. Silver Hawk is a master of martial arts and uses them in her efforts to keep her city safe. This is better than a lot of Hong Kong Kung Fu movies, but I just didn't see the comic book connection. Some enjoyable scenes with Michelle Yeoh, but ...

  • Uh-- BATMAN, as a size 1 female?

Not a "Matrix" derived movie, but simply good old Batman with a gender change, the same "got tons of money, secret help, and really neat toys but I'm not super human" basis. Interesting play at martial arts, very nice staging, and a good "touch of mortality" in her injury sequence. Between Batman and Silver Hawk I would tend to favor Batman for complex story, Silver Hawk for the eye candy factor. Now if we could get Batman and Silver Hawk to work together---- .

  • Kinda Cute

The way this movie was filmed made us believe it was voiced over..we at first thought this movie may have been Chinese with english overdubbing..however all in all this is a cute movie would be great for the kiddies and adults to enjoy together..not exactly Wonder Woman, but Silver Hawk is enjoyable...and very nice to look at!! Silver Hawk is a futuristic crimefighter out to protect the innocent..LouLou is played by Michelle Yoew(sp?) a beautiful heiress who sets out to right wrongs and save the innocent..as a little Girl attending a karate school she befriends a sweet little boy with similiar aspirations she's suddenly whisked away by a mysterius man after being told she has extroidinary fighting skills..fast forward years later now a full grown beautiful Woman LouLou while wearing ...

  • Wonderful Movie! Great Value Entertainment for the Whole Family!

This is a wonderful movie full of subtle humor and wit. It is full of action, comedy and a little bit of love. I actually bought the movie for myself after seeing several movies starring Michelle Yeoh, but my neices and nephew love it as well! Now they are spreading the movie around to friends who love it as well, and now they are begging me to find other cool movies like this. I've always been the cool aunt, but this takes the record, lol. Just a wonderful, clean, funny movie for the whole family.

  • SILVER HAWK

Basically Silver Hawk is really good fun, a cool superhero movie with a great heroine played by a great actress. It's fast, funny and has really good fight scenes, but you could get put off by the awkward dub. It's good enough that I think it's worth the effort, and I'll definitely be watching it again soon.
