    Sufficient

    These are equivalent to the stock bars for low end bicycles. I put these on a fat tire cruiser bike and they are perfect. I don't ride the bike beyond it's capabilities, doing so would put you at risk of bending the bars, like I did with my stock bars.

    Cheap steel bar of less than common width with that amount of rise

    A low cost steel handlebar of size less common aka wide and reasonably high rise. Suits well especially tall/big riders for an everyday city bike, but wouldn't dare to recommend for heavy duty trekking, trail riding or any kind of mountain biking. About the geometry I would have probably appreciated a little more back sweep, 7 to 10 degrees perhaps for added cruising or city ride comfort, but still within acceptable as it is. In general the build quality is ok, nothing spectacular, maybe a little bumpy curves, but the paintjob feels as if it's not going to take much beating and there's a fear of early rusting if scratched and exposed to weather, time will tell. Happy to have this anyway for my city bike despite the somewhat cheap feel to it and geometry being not perfection for my ...

    The price was right for these bars and once again proves you get what you pay for.

    The bends are even and symmetrical but the tubing is very thin, For casual use on children's bikes or trips to the store these bars will do the job. I don't think I would trust them in any kind of off road biking, stunt riding or any riding that would put excessive stresses on the bars. And the black finish is not a hard baked on powder coat but instead is some kind of soft coating of plastic or enamel paint. Nice appearance but I doubt it will be very durable. The only reason I bought these was the price was right and the configuration was exactly what I needed, a 30" wide bar with a 5" rise and slight pullback - the kind of bars that a lot of the old bikes back in the day came with. I've been looking for about a year for an old ghetto cruiser to buy just for the bars but they're getting ...

    2 major problems and hassles

    The first thing I notice and I install these to the stem; the bulge on the bars for the clamping surface is rather short. As in the stems clamping width passes that of these bars. Looks like about only 80% of the stems clamping surface is contacting the clamping surface. Not a huge problem but it could prove to be serious. Nonetheless it's not a "good thing" Furthermore, either the gloss finish or diameter of the bars themselves makes this a little thicker than they should be. Everything I took off my other bars (name brand bars) to these, had to be loosened an extra turn or two. No big deal. When it came to installing my lock-on grips (ergon ga2) it's been a very unpleasant experience. Currently haven't been able to get my lock on grips installed. I can slide them about halfway on until ...
