The Circle of Life continues. High on an outcropping, the Lion King, Mufasa, holds his new-born son high in the air. Simba is born, and is destined to be the Lion King when Mufasa's time is up. Unfortunately, Mufasa's brother, Scar has other plans. Staging a wildebeest stampede, Mufasa is killed, and Simba blames himself and goes into self-imposed exile. What can I say? It's fantastic.
Take me back to childhood! As a kid I played this game almost as often as I played sonic and knuckles. Scar is still just as difficult to destroy in the final showdown. Sound and graphics quality are great for a 90s sega genesis game. If you were a nineties disney kid, you'll love it. get it!

Classic Sega Genesis Game - Lion King
I remember playing this game about 12 years ago when Sega Genesis first came out and was the top of the line video game system. It was quite possibly my favorite game on the Genesis console, mostly because of my love for the Disney movie with which it is associated. It is a great old school game. Simple, yet keeps you entertained for hours. Frustrating at times, because there is no save option with the Genesis. One of the best games ever made.
First of all, english is not my native language so please excuse if I make a spelling or grammar error. Here we go: We all know that most of the movie licensed games are bad. Even if some of them are good games in terms of gameplay, they usually can't deliver the atmosphere of the movie. But not this game. This game is a GREAT side-scroller and it manages to deliver the atmosphere of the movie perfectly. This game is a perfect example of how to make a good movie based video game. It's a classic. The most great thing about this game is the music selection. All the music from Lion King movie remade in 16-bit and it sounds really, really good. All the backgrounds, animations and music makes you feel like you're inside the movie. And isn't that a movie licensed game supposed to be? Level ... Only problem, it's a little too hard even in the first stages. But once you get the hang of it, you can beat it pretty much everytime you play. My personal problem is: There's no big difference between difficulty settings. Each difficulty level adds 1 extra hit point to SOME enemies and hard mode starts you with 0 extra life while normal starts with 2. So there's not much difference between easy and hard mode and I wish there was. But it doesn't that much of a problem since the game is really hard even on easy mode. I think there's so many people who played this game on there childhood. But I'm still gonna give my message to those who doesn't played yet: Give yourself a favor and play this game! Especially if you're an oldschool side-scroller fan.

Love it~!
This game was such a challenge to me growing up..I would sit for HOURS/DAYS playing it over and over.... 15 years later...I get this from EBAY and muscle memory took over...I got to the end of the game in one night...on Easy of corse :) My next challege is to win "normal"- Other than that, it's a lot of fun and nice graphics! The only bummer is that if you are at a level close to the end and you die, if you do not have "symbols" you have to start at the beginning all over again!
