Good Paper Airplane Book
I recently purchased this for my 6-year old. He really has enjoyed making the airplanes and likes the cool paper it comes with. We had the Klutz Paper Airplane book first, and he seemed to enjoy it even more. It taught him how to make the planes (along with parent support at first), and he soon had almost all the planes memorized. I think he gets more frustrated with the Kid's Paper Airplane book because it requires cutting and requires a parent to careful tear out the special paper. Anyway, certainly I am glad we got the book, but I think the Klutz book is more user friendly, with very clear and easy to understand directions. With all that said, my 6-year old just told me he likes the Kid's Airplane book better. =)I recently purchased this for my 6-year old. An eyecatcher especially for me; see story below
I saw this book at the airport and knew I had to buy it for my son (now 49). In the 2nd grade he had sailed a paper airplane in his classroom waiting for the bus. The teacher told him he had to go home and make 100 paper airplanes by the next morning. As I worked a distance from home, I learned of this about 6 pm that evening and had to round up newspapers and grocery bags for him to make his airplanes and load them into the bags so I could deliver them to his teacher's home in the morning; they would have been too cumbersome for the school bus and further transport to the classroom. We have always joked about the incident so when I saw this book I purchased it for him. He has 3 grandsons now and will put the book to good use with the help of their fathers.
