    Great as an encyclopedia, terrible as a how-to

    The stitches themselves are shown in beautiful color photographs; the accompanying explanatory paragraphs are useless as tutorials. In short, the photos are good references, but you'll need to go elsewhere (e.g., Google) to find out how to do them.
