Excellent seller -- good communication, item exactly as described, reasonably priced, well packed. Seller shipped immediately but the book took over half a month to arrive, due to the carrier used on the first leg, to get the package to USPS.

  • Guerrilla warfare

I never knew much about Geronimo but have come to respect the way he thought and fought. He was ruthless but also brilliant in his patterns of fighting. He lost two spouses and children to the American forces, brutally slaughtered. I think that in part caused some of his brutality. We were always told that the Indians were the brutal ones. I don't totally agree with that idea. I think it was pretty even, if you ask me. There was brutality on both sides. He was brilliant in guerrilla warfare, I'll give him that. Native Americans didn't break the treaties, American military did.

  • Excellent reading

Forrest (Asa) Carter was a wonderful writer. In This book he brings the persecution and genocide of the Apache people to life! His story of Geronimo's refusal to give up and his perseverance through unimaginable hardship is an inspiration to us all.
