I have to say I did like this one also although something unnerved me about one of the characters who played Edwin having a heart attack I don't know why? But I have to tell you I think it was a good movie. And I love anything Vera place in watching her is a treat it's like watching Joan Crawford who I think was one of the best actresses there ever was and certainly one of the most beautiful in her time. I own all three of these movies and for some reason when I'm alone I like hauntings and ghost stories. I don't know why, let's just say the devil made me do it. 😈 I didn't think the characters were paralyzingly interesting to where you block everything else out while you're watching the movie? But some of the things they run into in this one was worth the wait for part three. Although I ... It's like when I watch a comedy a Caucasian comedy, it's like they stop short of making you laugh too hard like they don't want to be held responsible if somebody left himself to death? Has that ever happened? This movie gave a couple good chills especially this may be a spoiler when the little boy becomes possessed. I'd like to recommend some other films here if I can if you like possession and scary things, The exorcism of Emily Rose was pretty good, aren't you going in exorcism when I was five in Mexico I can somehow relate, but my father had a few screws missing in his head not to mention the bolts he lost along the way I am what he took me away from my mother I'll remember being there ladies chanting and a free splashing water on me tied to a bed it was stupid I wasn't possessed I was just being abused by my father and others and it was making me act out because I'm uncontrollable more or less. But needless to say, exorcist aside - if you like scary haunting movies where you never really see what's coming at you but you hear banging and see doors move on their own then I think you would love the haunting with with Julie Harris on the 1964. The Conjuring 1 & 2 of course, The Exorcist w Linda Blair restored version, Amityville the original with James brolin and the newer version, forget all the other amityville's Amityville ghosts Amityville this and that cuz they're all cheaply made the problem is is that the actors are hiring are not actors by trade and they come off as normal people that's even worse acting than the people on Ghost hunters paranormal shows the acting so bad I actually hate 95% of the movies that are being made how they get backing with no actors in them and Bad actors in them especially the kids anymore is beyond me. Werewolves within just being released now has got some comedy to it and I think you might like that. Do yourself a favor and buy or rent The cottage it's an English made film that's about two guys who kidnap this smart ass rude girl and take her to the woods in a small little town and hold her for ransom it's got Gore It's got comedy I think you'll love it.

Not So Much "By the Book"
Came in good time. Perfect condition. Probably the least entertaining of the three movies. Especially if you read the book it was based on "The Devil in Connecticut". The movie centered mostly on the trial and not on the supernatural elements that the boy was subjected to. If it were more dedicated to the demonic entities that were front and center in the book, it would have made a better movie.
