Sony's exclusive baseball franchise returns with new features designed to enhance the game's realism. The role-playing like "Road to the Show" mode, where players create a single athlete to control throughout a career, offers more options. Defensive positioning, for example, can be adjusted during the pre-pitch sequence, allowing fielders a better chance to make a play. Created pitchers will receive regular mound visits, and all custom athletes work toward achieving specific goals for a chance at a promotion. Manager feedback is also included, and an athlete's performance can be monitored on a separate menu screen detailing current attribute ratings and season stats.<br><br>Statistical analysis also plays an important role in MLB 08, offering players a chance to monitor pitches thrown to a specific batter during a game, or examine a hitter's track record against a right-handed hurler, lefty, or both. Players can also influence a batter's abilities by performing above or below his statistical average for the 2007 season. A higher batting average over the course of 20-30 at-bats, for example, will increase the athlete's hit zones, improving the odds of making contact. The reverse is also possible, however, so extended slumps can change in-game ratings as well as hot streaks. PSP owners have the added ability to keep tabs on real-life teams by downloading and saving MLB news feeds.

bought the MLB '08: The Show (PlayStation Portable, 2008) Weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive game. It has a clear view of Graphic and action. The MLB '08: The Show (PlayStation Portable, 2008) game is perfect for playing a pretty good .Overall; I'd recommend the Grand MLB '08: The Show if you're on a budget.

I like all the graphics.The graphics are very sharp and colorful The game is terrific. I love how the game is so simple. But it is still very fun.I decided to buy the game because when I played the demo, I fell in love with it.The options are very good. But how to trade people very is hard to do.The pictures of the famous baseball players are very good. It seems like real. It's so good that I got addicted to it. So my mom had to take it away. I ask my dad if I can get 09. He said no so I begged. I like all the stadiums. They look so real. The career is very good and simple. Sometimes I beg to play it.I thank the owner for selling it for a good price. I LOVE THE GAME. I LOVE THE GAME SO SO VERY MUCH. I decided to buy it because I was bored wit all my games too. mlb 08 the show for PSP
I like baseball and this game is pretty authentic. I like how realistic it is and I think its as good as the 09 version. The 09 version just seems to be roster update. What I don't like about the game is that it can become difficult to hit. I find that it is hard for me to find the right timing and I usually are behind on the fastballs. I also think that even when I get the timing right on some pitches, I still dont get a good piece of wood on it and will usually just ground out, especially on curveballs in the strikezone.I like baseball and this game is pretty authentic. Addicting
Baseball season got me interested in playing a game and MLB 08 is the best rated out there so thought I'd give it a go. Well I was much more impressed than I expected to be. The graphics and game play are fairly awesome for a little handheld. I'm currently addicited to the road to the Show feature in which you take a created player and play every play of his career. I'm now not so much enjoying the game as much as I am just compelled to better my star's stats and make it to the hall of fame. If you're interested in baseball games this one is a must have.Baseball season got me interested in playing a game and MLB 08 is the best rated out there so thought I'd give it a go.
