    It works!

    In a nutshell, this cable does what it suppose to do. RS-232 ports were replaced with USB ports. If you have vintage equipment needing an RS-232 port, then this cable will do the trick. It allow your updated computer to communicate with RS-232 ports/equipment. Window 10 will recognize the connection however with most equipment you might need Win 10 drivers to run under current Operating System. Cheers

    Great for Cisco console cable.

    Got a console cable (serial) and needed a USB to serial for connecting to an old Cisco 3560 compact switch. First, I tested with Windows10. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need to install any driver at all. It just works. I then tried it on Ubuntu, again, it works fine with minicom. If you have similar setup, I'd recommend this.
