    what movies used to be

very entertaining for mature people as it is very family oriented. anybody who has had experienced adoption system procedures will relate to this movie .the actors excelled in their parts .the theme starts off as a song& dance movie but progresses beyond what is expected , view it you wwwil like it.

  • Very good movie for viewers interested in infant adoption.

A married couple, both actors, desperately want a child. They lose THREE babies in the course of this film, and in the final scene they are about to get THREE babies at once. The abrupt ending IMPLIES they will live happily ever after, but given the circumstances of the previous losses, I wanted to see more before I felt assured of their happy ending. After all, their adventures in parenthood are just beginning, and lots of things could go wrong! Up to that point, the film realistically covered the misconceptions, risks, and grief surrounding miscarriage, infertility, agency adoption, and black-market domestic adoption. Betty Grable was excellent. The songs were mostly forgettable and interrupted the storyline. I would have preferred to see this as a drama, with perhaps two song and ...

  • Lavish movie musical with a serious story line

My Blue Heaven is a wonderful movie musical of the 1940's. What makes it unusual is that it also has a serious story line. When a husband and wife popular entertainment team try to enrich their lives with a baby, they encounter many ups and downs. However, all ends well, and it is a definite "feel good" movie, which also has an all-star cast. Betty Grable and Dan Dailey have the leading roles, while the supporting cast includes David Wayne, Jane Wyatt, and Mitzi Gaynor. I purchased this movie, because I remember enjoying movies with Dan Dailey and Betty Grable as a married song and dance team, when I was a child. I found out that I still enjoy these movies, and I would highly recommend this one to anyone who is interested in movie musicals of the 1940's-1950's. Both the picture and sound ...

  • Christopher Lee Rhyne Review 49

This musical combines old raves Betty Grable & Dan Dailey. I only rated 5***** this film, you begin to see “Extraordinary” Betty Grable roles “Kitty” & Dan Dailey roles “Jack”. Radio days and theater dance, a wife and a husband the Morgan’s will soon meet another couple “Walter” (David Wayne) & “Janet” (Jane Wyatt) the Pringle’s (not the potato chip). When the Morgan’s lose a pregnancy the concept of never getting pregnant wait for the surprise the Pringle family will come up with. The adoption process is down hill and a mother who puts her own might want the very child back. This film was a top musical 20th Century Fox. This movie came out shortly after the war but not before Henry Koster who was born in 1905 and died in 1988. He was at Universal, MGM and now Fox. My Blue Heaven was ...

  • Very happy movie.

Very good quality movie. It looks like a new movie, not one made 80 years ago.
