Awesome wireless storage option.
This is pretty nice for what you pay. It feels like it’s a quality made device. The iPhone app can’t stream video but if you download VLC Mobile and look for the local network option in the menu and your File server will be listed as long as it’s connected to your phone. It works great for streaming movies but there’s no resume. The Sony app for the file server works fine for everything else . I bought this as a means of getting photos off an SD card onto my iPad Pro. All of the other features are just bonuses. Way too slow.
Waiting for photo thumbnails to come up from an sd card takes so long it makes this device almost useless. If you want to share pdfs of text files it is adequate. I don't understand why Sony would market this.

Its capacity is very limited, 14GB I believe. It is not DLNA, it's basically a File Share server which is NOT a Media Streaming Server as advertised. Very disappointed.
