    Petite Rouge is a keeper

    I absolutely love this story. It is a Cajun Little Red Riding Hood. The written accent is fun to read, and must be read several times to get the accent down. As a teacher this book can be used for compare and contrast with the original Riding Hood. I am a reading teacher and I would use it to show difficulty in fluency when you aren't familiar with words used (automaticity). This is just a fun book for a read aloud!

    Petite Rouge--Great book for Reading to Children!

    This book was a big hit with my elementary students that I help with reading. I explained that I was not going to sound like my usual self when I read it. They laughed along with me as I read it to them. They especially liked the alligator in the story that didn't want to have anything to do with people after Petite Rouge -- "Little Red Riding Hood" -- got through with him. If you don't know how to speak "Cajun" it might be a little difficult, but it's definitely worth trying.

    Great Fun Story

    My Granddaughter saw a Play from this book. She loved it. I sent Lorelai the book and she has read it a thousand times. I loved the story too.
