    Book Makes Starting Something New Refreshing

    Easy to engage in doodling and enjoy effortless creative stitching of your own, truly making your project 'You Own Design'. Anyone would enjoy this book that was new to embroidery or has embroidered for years. Would recommend, very good ideas.

    Doodle-Stitching by Aimee Ray (2007)

    Wow, I have really enjoyed this book so far. I didn't purchase each so much for the projects, but more for the stitch directions. The illustrations are wonderful and the directions are easy to follow. Aimee's communication with the reader is easy and pleasant. I had purchased another embroidery book recently and the author was insulting to the reader. Aimee Ray is encouraging and easy read. She is also posts her work on Flickr and can be emailed if you need help. Great book and I really like it!

    Better than expected.

    Not having done serious embroidery for a good many years, I hope this book would give my creativity a boost. And it did! The content is more than interesting & informative. Lots of ideas for my own designs to build on. Thanks to the author for a very thoroughly done book.

    Great for beginners

    I'll admit, I knew nothing about the book beforehand. I just couldn't resist that cover! But, upon reading it, I was hooked immediately. Clear, easy to understand instructions, great photos, and projects that are actually things I would make and use. I highly recommend it for someone wanting to start embroidery.
