About this product

Product Information

The year is 1918 and writing gritty dime novels simply isn't done by a woman. So Daphne McKinley---smart, pretty, talented---publishes her rough-and-tumble books under a male pseudonym. But a newspaperman enlists her aid in restoring his grandfather's good name, and Daphne finds herself re-examining the power of her words and reconsidering the direction of her life.

Hatcher, Robin Lee (Author) Jun 2010. 400 p. Zondervan, paperback, $14.99. (9780310258070). Although her family is wealthy, Daphne McKinley has moved to the small town of Bethlehem Springs, where she writes Wild West adventure dime novels under the pseudonym D. B. Morgan. Newspaper editor Joshua Crawford has put his life on hold until he can expose the lies that this Morgan fellow has written about the beloved, saintly grandfather who raised him. Once Daphne meets Joshua, it takes a while for her to decide to acknowledge her secret identity. After all, no proper lady would dare pen dime novels in 1918. But when Daphne discovers how serious Joshua is about clearing his grandfather's name, and how important it is to him, she tells the truth about her alter ego and accompanies Joshua on a fact-finding mission. The popular Hatcher has written another inspirational romance, peppered with Bible verses, which should be a big hit with her many readers. - Booklist, Hatcher, Robin Lee (Author)Jun 2010. 400 p. Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • good book per my wife

Didn't read it. Bought it for my wife because she loves reading books by this author. Probably wouldn't do me any harm if I did read it. Thanks.
