About this product

Product Information

Brilliantly illustrating the psyche of a people determined to reclaim independence from Russia in the face of monumental odds, The Warsaw Conspiracy features two brothers and their fates in love and war. Michal is a seasoned veteran soldier, cautious of the evolving conspiracy; J zef, his much younger brother and impassioned cadet, finds himself caught up in the vortex of a daring plot to abduct the Grand Duke of Russia. With Siberia or emigration to France looming as heart-rending contingencies, matriarchs Anna and Zofia stay steadfast in their resolve to steer the clan through ever-muddying waters.

Reviews
"James Conroyd Martin is in every way a modern day Henryk Sienkiewicz, weaving history and stories together in an accessible and thrilling manner." Dr. Donald Pienkos, UWMilwaukee "More than a simple adventure or romance, The Warsaw Conspiracy is a heartstopping journey through post-Napoleon Poland as another generation of freedom-loving Poles resists the domination of a hostile neighbor. Martin's uncanny insight into the Polish national psyche and his vigorous prose make this a compelling page-turner as we learn the fate of our heroines Anna and Zofia and their family. Historical facts and details of daily life combine to keep you glued to the page." Leonard Kniffel, former American Libraries Editor-in-Chief "Martin's masterful story-telling is at its best. We are instantly thrust into the action as impetuous young military cadets conspire to overthrow the Russian oppressor and regain Poland's freedom. While the ultimate outcome may be preordained, the story unfolds with all the intrigue of an espionage thriller and the gripping tension of a heartfelt love story. This one is not to be missed." Douglas W. Jacobson, author of Night of Flames and The Katyn Order "Martin's passionate saga of Poland and its long struggle for autonomy continues in The Warsaw Conspiracy. Here he examines the dreams and heartbreak of a brave insurrection against the Russian czars and the rise of Josef Stelnicki, one of those thrilling military warriors, uniquely Polish, called hussars." Karleen Koen, New York Times bestselling author of Through a Glass Darkly and Before Versailles

Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!
