About this product

Product Information

The brief and beautiful Buddhist texts in this book point towards the inexpressible sweet simplicity of our own minds. This simplicity is usually obscured by the complexity of our reified experience and the conceptual elaboration we employ to try to work out who we are and what our life is for. The doha songs offered here are not fuel for intellectual analysis. Rather they offer us gentle encouragement to turn towards our own minds as the ungraspable simplicity of the ever-present ground. The dohas here arose from the minds of enlightened yogis in Eastern India during the 8th -10th centuries. The collection is referred to as the Asta Doha Kosa in Sanskrit, Do-Ha mDzod bgGyad in Tibetan. The collection is supplemented by the famous Mahamudra Aspiration prayer, also known as the Kunzang Monlam (Kun-Tu bZang-Poi sMon-Lam in Tibetan), written by the third Karmapa. The introduction and translation from Tibetan is by James Low

Reviews
The author, James Low is very very lucid and precise in his writing style. So we get a good appreciation of the Vajrayana style of Tibetan Buddhist practice ... the practice is nothing to strive at and instead it is a state of relaxed being at ease with indistinguishability of awareness and experience. You can follow James Low to his website and hear even more detailed explanation... Anyone who has heard about Dzogchen somewhere can readily penetrate the essence laid out in this book. James Low has done great service to the Buddhist community via this book. (Simply Being) I read this book three times so far and continuing to read again and again, my friend who bought after me doing same thing and this time we bought it for our another friend in our small dharma group in Turkey. May the wisdom in this book meet with many many people generations after generations in varied geographies from Europe to Middle East and support the liberation of all beings. (Being Right Here) This is a beautifully done book, really a life's work that James Low offers to us now as a flowing synthesis of all he has learned (as an Englishman immersed from his teen years in Tibetan Buddhist praxis). (This is it, 2021) My favorite Dzogchen text for its simplicity and it's inspiration. (Simply Being, 2014) James Low's commentary of Nuden Dorje's Dzogchen classic is peerless. James's Pointing Out Instructions (the proverbial "finger pointing at the moon") are so clear and lucid they almost get you to the moon itself. (Mirror of Clear Meaning, 2022)

Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!
