Moskovitz offers a coherent picture of this disorder as a distinct syndrome...the author conveys, in a very empathetic and touching way, his understanding of what it feels like to be borderline., Mention the word "borderline" and you're sure to see smiles fade and demeanors bristle. Lost in the Mirror [is] an excellent field guide into the exploration of this mysterious condition. Moskovitz views borderline personality disorder as being rooted in past trauma and closely linked to dissociation disorders. Together, the therapist and the patient embark on the task of discovering and sorting through these memories, piecing them together to form a sensible whole., Moskovitz is especially adept with analogies, using everyday situations to clarify his points rather than just adorn the text. He imparts that while there is no drug just for BPD, some drugs help with specific symptoms, and he dispenses practical advice to family and professionals as well as patients., This is a book where empathic insights. clinical wisdom and therapeutic optimism will usefully inform anyone who is interested in understanding BPD patients. This book . . . is distuinguished by a dedicated effort to convey vividly and understandale a great deal about people with the disorder. Readers will be rewarded with welcomed appreciation.

Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • BPD - real cases to help understand what, why and how

I have had to personally live with a spouse who has Borderline Personality Disorder for nearly 25 years. I was unaware of the cause of the consistently inconsistent behavior, but assumed things would improve over time. They didn't and probably won't without proper professional intervention. This is a Catch-22 for the BPD person - to trust someone for help when they have learned (or feared) to not trust anyone. This book was able to give me the insight to the many facets of the BPD condition. Having thought for years that I was part of the cause (having been repeatedly accused of such for years by the BPD individual, who continually denied responsibility), I lived with the guilt of being the one to blame while being helpless to cause the positive change I so dearly desired for ...

  • Very easy to read and informative.

The books was very easy to read and flowed easily. Each informative chapter was followed by a memoir sequel that helped me understand the implementation of the concepts explained. It’s one of the best books, and quickest reads I’ve bought. Very helpful to me. Highly recommended.
