    Don't risk your engine with this radiator cap

    This radiator cap failed after 3 months on my 02 Jeep Liberty. I expected more from Gates. The sheet metal is thin and flimsy and one of the tabs deflected enough that it released the cap, allowing a large amount of coolant to escape. It's one of those inexpensive items that can destroy an engine if it fails so my recommendation is to avoid this at all cost. I just ordered a Mopar cap so hopefully that will perform better.
