    How to Make Cowboy Horse Gear

    This is a great book for someone wanting to braid anything out of leather. Bruce Grant does a wonderful job of explaining how to do a multitude of braids and knots, as well as providing detailed drawings to help you understand exactly how to do them. Second-hand coats make an excellent source for materials. I would highly recommend this book for anybody wishing to make their own horse gear and whips.

    Easy to follow

    I have bought several books on rawhide braiding and making items this is by far the easiest one to use and follow very detailed sketches and diagrams. Takes you from simple knots to more complex ones. Well laid out book with a section on saddlemaking at the end.
