About this product

Product Information

Danny Gatton was a players' guitar player, hailed by both Rolling Stone and Guitar Player as the greatest unknown guitarist anywhere. His legend has only grown since his untimely suicide in 1994, along with appreciation for his blinding speed, effortless genre-hopping, flawless technique, and never-ending appetite for tinkering and problem-solving. Drawing from first-hand interviews with dozens of friends, family members and fellow musicians, Unfinished Business places Gatton's musical contributions into context, and documents his influence on those peers who admired him most, including Albert Lee, Vince Gill, Arlen Roth and Lou Reed. "Danny Gatton comes closer than anyone else to being the best guitar player that ever lived." - Steve Vai

Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • The life and times of the Humbler

As a huge fan of Danny Gartons music I knew very little about his life story. The book is very informative yet entertaining. A very well written, compelling read.

  • The definitive Danny G story.

As a big fan of Danny, the book tied certain events together, including his untimely death. The book is honest and deliberate in its assessment of Danny. Despite unprecedented talent, Danny wasn't perfect. For example, Danny's wife was supported the household, while Danny promised "he would make it" someday-yet he didn't work at his career as hard as he should have. Yeah, Danny was in some ways lazy. Danny was not suited for solo stardom, he really need to be part of a team to make it (think Pete Anderson & Dwight Yoakum). Danny could be hard to work with, temperamental, moody, bitter, and a homebody. You can't get anywhere if you have no interest in leaving the house. By the time of Danny's electkra releases he had played and mastered everything in music-there was nothing left to get ...

  • This book is Danny, top to bottom.

This book is right on the money. If you do or ever lived in the D.C. area, it takes you back to familiar names and faces. As a musician, this book connects alot of loose ends and answers some old questions. Best of all, it gives a complete picture of Danny Gatton.
