Each work shared here includes a representation of some sort of animal figure, whether real or fantastical. A few works illustrate each chapter, and every color sample features notes about technique, date, place of origin, size, and maker (if known). Needlework enthusiasts will find much to linger over: An elephant beaded purse, the very contemporary "No Tortoise," whimsical cat slippers, a stunning Japanese kimono, and embroidered WWI postcards. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased.
