About this product

Product Information

In a small village on the south coast of Crete, the narrator meets a young man who tells the story of his journey to this place-a journey which began in Prague. On his quest for an explanation for the deaths of two brothers-one murdered at the performance of a ballet, the other found by fishermen off the Turkish coast-the amateur detective is accompanied by the ex-girlfriend of one of the brothers. As they follow trail after tail, they are guided to the solution of rebuses ranging from apparently nonsensical clusters of symbols composed of luminous sea worms, through a message written in gelatin candies found in a store in Croatia, to the plot of an American SF movie thriller screened in a suburb of Rome. Not only does the journey south take our heroes to Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Pula, and the Greek island of Mykonos, it draws in stories from other journeys, taking us to Moscow, Boston, and Mexico City.

The book is a new copy (as I ordered). Arrived within the frame time. There was no way to track the shipping (which was annoying but I didn't try to contact the seller). The book was packaged in a secure envelope which protected it.
