Hmmm...interesting experience with this one. Not bad, just interesting. With a couple week delivery time, I had forgotten I ordered this. Got a notification (informed delivery service) from USPS that this was in my mailbox on the 10th. Ran out to collect it, not there. Next day it was! So, a minor snafu by them. But the book is so good, and the price was fair, I did not mine the wait and delays.

Seller has great items at good prices. However my large, heavy book was shipped in paper and not a box and the USPS damaged what was a very good condition book into one that is banged up, bent and a torn DJ. Still a good buy for the information but disappointed in packaging.

  • Well illustrated book.

Well illustrated book. This is perhaps the best thing to say about the book. The title of the book “Das Reich Division at Kursk: 12 July 1943”, however, is mainly given the story of the creation of the division and its re-formation at various intervals. Only about 20% of the total volume of the book is devoted to direct participation in the Battle at Kursk. As for the participation of the Das Reich in the Battle at Kursk, the description is very occasional and excessively subject to stereotypes and cliches. Unfortunately, often in the military literature about the Second World War, the authors use sources from one side, which leads to the formal glorification of some against the background of others. The information is based solely on German documents, as a result we see a monotonous and ...
