    Very detailed

    I am a casual bird watcher but I think anyone would be pleased with this book. Multiple photos of most species showing juvenile, m/f, different subspecies. Great index and very clear table of contents. Too big to be convenient in the field.

    Truly has more pictures of the birds as the earlier edition but I personally like the older edition better. This is an excellent buy and great to identify your local birds.
