    The Seven Silly Eaters

    This book has been a family favorite for years! I bought copies to keep and to give to friend's children as it is not available in our library anymore. I used to check it out regularly for my two-year-old twins. We couldn't find it after they were about 6, but now at 14, they are happy to have copies to keep "for their own children". The book holds children's attention very well. It is written in lilting rhyme and is the story of a couple who has several children, each with a different favorite food. The mom grows a little exasperated with that, but has patience, and everyones' needs are resolved very well in the end. The art is lovely, and you watch the family age, the house become more "lived in" as the story goes along. Seven Silly Eaters is a totally delightful book!

    Great book for kids!

    This is a very cute and clever book. I bought it because it is about a big family. The illustrations are great; as her family gets bigger the mom gets busier and the house is messy and cluttered. The parents obviously love their family and at the end of the book the kids pitch in to do something for mom and all ends well. I have bought this book for my own family and for two different families with seven kids.

    A Must Read

    I bought the book "Seven Silly Eaters" because it is one of the most wonderful childrens books I have ever read to my children. The illustrations are priceless and the rhyming story is a joy, not only to read, but to listen to over and over again. The book itself also teaches a love of children and the uniqueness that each one brings to our lives. It's a must read.

    The Seven Silly Eaters by Mary Ann Hoberman

    My youngest daughter loves this book. Her older sister brought it home from the school library last year and read it to her. Ever since, she has wanted the book for her own but we were never able to find it in a book store. It is a very funny story.
