About this product

Product Information

One freezing, snowy night, Peter is fast asleep in his cozy house when he hears knocking at his door. Who could it be? During the storm he has three visitors, but when he wakes the next morning, they are all gone. Was it just a dream? A clever tale of trust with a twist! With charming pencil and watercolor illustrations throughout, the story has a serious side, but shows a lighter humorous side as well. It will be sure to capture the attention of the child being read to and also the person reading it.

Reviews
"The engaging artwork and bounty of dialogue make this a fun read-aloud and a solid seasonal selection." --School Library Journal "The story is a bit thin, but the book captures a wintry mood and is handsomely designed; each double-page spread has a beautiful, white-bordered illustration on one side and ample white space for a small vignette and a stanza or two on the other. Quiet and nifty." --Kirkus Reviews "Engagingly written and illustrated, this book would be perfect for children in preschool and primary school and would be great fun to act out in the classroom setting." - Reading Time (Australia), "A sudden snowstorm leaves forest animals out in the cold.Peter's small house sits 'all draped in white.' He's snug in bed in his white nightshirt when he hears a knock at the door. Peter looks like a Maurice Sendak child all grown up . . . . the book captures a wintry mood and is handsomely designed . . . quiet and nifty." -- Kirkus Reviews, "A sudden snowstorm leaves forest animals out in the cold.Peter's small house sits 'all draped in white.' Product is 95% alike picture but a little more blurry. Controller play well but had a notice from psn that my joypad wasn't authentic and could by problematic🤷‍♂️ no trouble so far! Shipping was fast but no tracking and worst packaging ever.. like the box came banged up... send a question to seller never had a reply 😅.... Good product overall, excellent price, fast shipping, wrapped only on 4 sides out of 6, no tracking and never reply... 4★ product / 2★ seller ✌️

The book is in perfect condition, brand new, and is exactly as described. This item is difficult to find here, and the seller priced it very reasonably. It shipped from the UK to Canada, and unfortunately took a little longer to arrive than the seller hoped, but it was shipped less than 24 hours after I purchased. When I contacted the seller, they were very responsive and helpful. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again. Definitely recommend!

  • Great book. not so good condition

This is a great book and I highly recommend it but the condition of this copy was not as good as it was stated to be. There were stickers on the pages and when I tried to remove them they tore off the paper, the cover was worn and the spine was frayed on the bottom and top. It is still readable but not suitable to be able to give to someone. It should have been rated acceptable and not good.
