Almost exactly a century ago, on Saturday 21 April 1923, a Liverpool side managed by Matt McQueen clinched the top-flight title for the second successive season, with a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town at Anfield. Today the club is marking the anniversary of that great team's achievements with a half-time tribute, and there'll be a special banner on the Kop. The story is brilliantly chronicled in the 2021 book The Untouchables: Anfield's Band of Brothers, by Jeff Gouding and Kieran Smith.
