Item is as shown and operates exactly as described. Price was low, but shipping balanced it out, so it worked out in that way. Unfortunately, when the item was delivered, it sound like it had been dropped onto my wooden porch. In the box and found no packaging material at all. Spiderwebs and insect carcasses don't count. The faceplate had fallen off with only minor damage to a tab (NOT the seller's fault) Regardless, it operates just fine so thank you for that.

    Love my new Panasonic Lumix!

    This is my 3rd Panasonic Lumix - the other two are SLR digitals and I love both of them. This one is for portable, quick and easy use. It's tiny, light weight, easily portable, and takes great photos ourdoors, especially. The zoom is great plus 10 mpixels are fantastic for such an small inexpensive camera ($119). The Leica lens is a beauty, too. Cons: it does not perform well under 32 degree f - not too big a problem unless you are a skier, which I am not. Focusing can take a bit longer in darker settings and may be less accurate. Or perhaps I just haven't figured out the proper settings for indoor use... At any rate, the camera is amazing for one so small and so inexpensive!

    It's GREAT! (See follow up opinion 8/13/2010)

    Received the camera today. Charged the battery, installed the CD, took five photos (in darkened conditions}with auto flash. Hooked the camera up to the PC with the USB cable provided, and the photos started downloading. In less than a minute the photos were all viewable at full size on my 20" PC Screen. This camera takes super pictures, and is quite literally very simple to use. The camera has a built-in memory but I suggest you buy a 8 MG card because you'll be taking a lot of pictures. Finally, I'm not a "geek" when it comes to PC's and Cameras, but I didn't have any problems with this. 08/13/2010 (follow up review) Almost 10 months since I've bought this Panasonic, and nothing has changed my original opinion of this camera.     Just what I needed

    This replace the same model camera we used for years. We didn't want to change to a new on and all our accessories worked with this one. Was is great shape and works fine. Also saved 50 to 70 dollars by not buying a new camera.
