Robert Redford is a man on a mission to not only clean up his own life, but the life of a champion horse whom he has great respect and appreciation for. A MUST SEE/HAVE for any horse lover, Robert Redford, or Jane Fonda fan.

Redford's engagement with horses re-horsewhisperer is legendary so this simply builds on that for me-Fonda with her hair-done-to-perfection in evey single scene has considerably less credibility-who just like the gal in The Lake House has zero horsesense in foot apparel-a gag the scriptwriters/apparrel outfitters foist upon us? But overlooked in the sweep of the just plain poor folk pitted against the rich-PLUTROCRACY is the largest issue overall, second only to global warming we face-and the top 1 % indeed do have the rest of us locked bound and gagged sinking like a stone-they own Biden, too-make no mistake on that score. But incremental progress is coming to pass inspite of all that. What a Ride!
Exciting, very 70s, movie filmed in Saint George, Utah. It shows the town 20 years before the building boom which is slowly destroying the cowboy culture that once dominated. I like to slow down the scenes and pause, showing my kids the town they are now growing up in and how it has changed. This is an enjoyable movie. Horse lovers will especially like Sonny's (Robert Redford) determination to retire his boss's old horse with dignity. Sonny's employers are hot on the trail to return the horse to it's un-natural super model existance. Will Sonny free the horse or will it have to endure the stage and Vegas showgirls for the rest of its miserable life? Corny but very likeable flick! Good storyline and nice seanery. Fonda falls for a cowboy, who would of thought that!! Best line in the flick. "Captured horsethief ain't no story" Watch it and see what I mean!
