About this product

Product Information

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a 2D fighting game by Arc System Works, the studio that created the distinctive Guilty Gear series. As the developer's first 2D fighter developed for high-definition systems, BlazBlue features fast, anime-inspired fighting action, which plays out over detailed, multi-layered backgrounds, with flashy, sometimes psychedelic visual effects for special attacks and big hits. The fighting takes on a certain rhythm, as there is a split second pause after each hit, giving players who can catch on to the cadence a chance to use the brief freezes to time their next move or counterattack. The action is very fast, and without the stuttering pauses, few humans could hope to keep up. Each character has a special "drive" attack move, which is difficult to perform, but devastating if used correctly. The story of the game involves dissent and destruction among a powerful council, known unofficially as "the Library," which controls a great power that once saved humanity, but which now wields its power in protective, some say repressive, ways. The game's developer declared BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger to be the "spiritual successor" to the Guilty Gear series. Its roster of combatants is a rogues' gallery of weird, super-powered, emotionally complicated characters, including vampires and werewolves, and the beat-'em-up action plays out to an unrelenting precision-metal soundtrack by composer Daisuke Ishiwatari.

I ordered this game before I received another game from this seller. My previous review of this seller I was perhaps a bit harsh but also felt honest in my opinion based on that experience. This time the game arrived as expected. It was well packaged and very clean. I'm very happy with this purchase and if all games came like this, meeting or exceeding expectations I'd gladly recommend this seller.

  • A mind-blowing game for the price i paid for it !

The reason i picked up Blazblue, is it just had that look that when you start playing it you were going to be not able to stop playing it.I like how Blazblue let`s you play against people online and i like the different skins they have. the music very cool the stages.I like that you can change the voices over to Japanese! I don`t like that that it is a 2D game, cause most games out now 3D just like the newer models of tvs. In all it is a very good game i`m still playing it now. Blazblue is a great game but i think there are other games that are a little more better just cause their are in 3D.

  • The game is a perfect evolution of the 2D Fighter Genre.

The game is a masterpiece among fighting games. Where most fighting games or 2D games have been minimalistic, BlazBlue utilizes the consoles to their GREATEST potential, being a great fighting game where all characters have different fighting potentials in different areas. This is not a button masher, but a game of skill. A must have for lovers of 2D Fighters.
