    dragon ball Z budokai

now, im not a very big dragon ball Z fan myself BUT my best friend is, and his birthday was coming up so I decided to get this game for him. he really liked the game, in fact he finished budokai 1 in a single day. he was happy with the game which means im happy. I would recommend this product to any dragon ball Z fan.

  • A great game overall. But the intro theme song could have been the original

The game is overall quite great. I played all the Budokai games to completion as a child. By far, Budokai 3 was always my favorite. In this remake, the graphics are sharp and much cleaner, as well as "brighter" / more vibrant; exactly as what you would expect of an "HD" remake. Music and soundtrack is an important factor in successfully pulling off an emotionally engaging experience for the gamer. The fact that all of the bgm and menu themes were changed isn't as disheartening as the replacement of the intro theme. The substitution intro theme song does not synchronize as fluidly with the intro animations. For me, a strong connection between the introduction video and its theme song significantly empowers the player to trudge through the menus and to want to return the following day to the ...

  • Two great games a few small problems.

A modern remake of two classics from yesteryear. Budokai 1 was the first actually good DBZ game to ever come out over here in the US. and Budokai 3 greatly refined the gameplay of the series. Had these games been the PS2 versions they would have gotten 5 instead of 4 stars, but this is a slightly (but forgivable for the most part) flawed remake. The soundtrack I knew as a kid is gone on both games and replaced by a quickly slapped together soundtrack due to loosing copyright on the original one. It's not always bad but rather very hit and miss. There is also censorship of the US version of this HD collection that was never censored on PS2 (Broly's ultimate move was toned down). But in the grand scheme of things they are mostly the same games at heart and if you enjoyed the PS2 versions ...

  • Great HD Rendering

An amazing game throwback for new players to get into, and for old players to come back to.
