Item was heavily worn with a crease in the cover. Cover illustration was from an older printing than shown due to the use of stock images. Was purchased with 2 other books. Out of the 3 books this was the only one that arrived in the package. The other 2 were missing and the seller did not respond to any of my messages regarding the missing books.

Some of the animals really existed, some don't, and in these books they talk and dress and act like the animals in her children's books. This combo of reality and fantasy can be a little disorienting as you read but is still fun. Recipes at the end of the book feature old fashioned country dishes that Beatrix might have enjoyed eating. A few are of the "first catch your hare" style of recipe but the rest are perfectly ...
