About this product

Product Information

The top computer game franchise continues to branch out onto other platforms, as it explores a new lifestyle in this spin-off title. Like the 2003 console versions of The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, The Urbz: Sims in the City uses the life simulation of the popular PC series as the basis for a role-playing game with a familiar, modern setting. Instead of the pastoral suburban neighborhoods of earlier games, however, The Urbz plays out in a fast-paced city where style and reputation are the keys to success.

Each game revolves around the player's single character, as he or she makes friends and gains the cultural understanding required to be accepted as an insider in the city's various districts. Each of the city's areas is designed with a distinctive cultural style. Shops and services in each area offer different items that can help the Urbz chase their goals and allow them to develop their own unique personalities.

Most city areas also have clubs or other meeting places, but in order to fit in, the player's character will have to show respect to the locals and learn the social interactions they use. The handheld versions of the Urbz have players competing with a greedy boss character called Daddy Bigbucks, who wants to take over the city of "Miniopolis" and keep its best locations all to himself. If characters can develop a strong reputation, however, by meeting new people and visiting new locations, they'll be able to use their influence to keep the city a happy and rewarding place for all their friends.

The seller was very responsive and the Game Boy Advance SP was exactly as described when it arrived. The seller could have used a better label when shipping; the label was printed on a label sticker that smeared to the point my package was stuck at the shipping center for over a week. Other than that, no complaints.

    A Gem of a Classic

I fondly remember playing this game when I had owned it when I was younger and now that I’ve purchased it again I can relive all of the wonderfully blissful moments once again! Still an excellent GBA game to have.

  • Excellent!

Coming straight off The Sims Bustin' Out (GBA), I was very pleased in the leap in graphics quality from that game to the Urbs (GBA). It took a short while to get the hang of manoeuvering my character around and attending to their needs, but it is not difficult. You are immediately thrown into what turns out to be a very long and excellent story line that will take you an age and a half to complete, so you are certainly getting your money's worth in gameplay time. After getting out of jail you have access to the first of three large neighborhoods, each with their own unique style, atmosphere and music. In each neighborhood you have the choice of renting two houses. So once all neighborhoods are unlocked you have a total of six houses to choose between for your home. This is a vast ...

  • Takes A Little To Get Use To

I really love this game but when I first started playing it I was very fustrated. You are basically stuck in a building until you complete a handfull of tasks then you get kicked out and don't see that building again for awhile. I love all the different hidden codes and items throughout the game. It is like the PC game in a few ways. You have a home you have to decorate and you build body skills, etc. You also have to make friends and keep your person happy. You get to pick what your person looks like and there name also. Its different in that you are in a "Group". Like you might be a nerd or richie (4 groups total). You have more restrictions on where you can go. You can find items in bushes or grass also. It's really a fun game and if you like the Sims on PC I would suggest you try ...

  • Urbz Sims in the City is the best SIMS game for gba!

Urbz Sims in the City is the best SIMS game for the gba. Other sims game that came out for the gba like Bustin Out, Sims 2, Sims 2 Pets, can't compare at all w/ this one. This game is great in everyway. It could be difficult at times and annoying to satisfy your sims needs, but there are boosters for your sim so that it doesn't have to go to restroom that much or doesn't need to take a shower that often and stuff like that. So many way to customize your crib. There are variety of skills for your sim that you need to get and different rep as well. I really enjoy this game and I recommend this to any sims fan.

  • URBS - This is a fun game if you don't mind the time

A fun game for a novice gamer and nothing too difficult in learning the mini-games and how to build your relationships in order to earn "beads" which allow you to get special powers, etc. The only complaint I have is that you can continue earning beads long after the game stops allowing you to use them. The game tells you that you can only use them in "multiplayer" mode but I haven't quite figured out how to unlock the beads I've earned or how to share them when playing with other people. (I have over 30 beads and it only takes 3 to spend at Club Xizzle to get things you need) It would be nice to have "help" tips somewhere in the game menu. Otherwise, alot of fun and quite addictive.
