About this product

Product Information

Based on award-winning director Peter Jackson's big-budget remake of the landmark 1933 Cooper and Schoedsack film, this video game version of King Kong is designed to convey the action and excitement the massive monster inspires, as well as the poignancy and emotion of the melancholy "beauty and the beast" storyline. Gameplay comes in two styles: In control of the ambitious hero Jack Driscoll, players fight for their own survival from a first-person perspective; while in the empowering role of the mighty Kong himself, players have a third-person perspective that allows them to take in their surroundings, and take better control the massive ape in battle. Developed in conjunction with Jackson and his production company, the game also features scenes and locations not seen in the film.

  • King Kong Rocks! I nearly soiled my pants playing!

This game is a mix of FPS and adventure type third-person hack and slash to make for a solid game. Although the game is short, it has a unique re-play feature and some levels will be fun over and over again Despite the game coming out prior to the movie I found that the movie was not spoiled. Besides most people have read the book, or watched an earlier version of movies and that never ruins the movie experience. Anyway, the story is centered on the actress Ann Darrow, the filmmaker Carl Denham, and the screenwriter Jack Driscoll. Desperately Carl tries to save his film from being cancelled by a movie studio. Enter his hair brained plan, travel by ship (quite a beauty) to Skull Island. With a name like that you can get the drift. You begin playing through the eyes of Jack. Take time to ...

  • movies never look so good in video game!...lol

Good quality and standards overall really good rich produced game is like living an alternate version of Kong!,quite original and unique design to go on an adventure like this! so alike like the movie you cannot be disappointed! if you like to face dinos and gigantic insects surviving sometimes just with arrows, and journey the jungle and rescue Anne! superb rich graphics make this adventure to last so little but worth it experience that i love, i highly recommend!.

  • A GREAT DEAL!!!

I live in Italy, but I purchased a copy of PeterJackson's King Kong in NTSC system, 'cause my PS2 works with that. And I used it only to play EA games wich are not sold in Italy (Ncaa football 2006)...my son was going mad about that game (King Kong) and I decided to buy him a copy in english, to improve his skills with the language. I get through e-bay and found what I was looking for: an NTSC version of the game at a super-discount price! I bougth it, payed via Pay-Pal and receive it in a week!!! A super fast shipment, a great deal, a great e-bayer the guy who sold me the game!!! I'm happy and satisfied and my son is, too. Tha game is in excellent conditions, it came in his original package and my son loves it: great graphics, great scenery, realistic moves...a little bit violent, but it ...

  • King Kong comes back to life!

I bought this game for my 14 year old son, and he loves it. But it is a little challenging and kind of hard to get past certain levels. Which in one way it makes it good, so it lasts longer, but in another way, not, because sometimes you can't get past certain levels and they lose interest in it. The graphics are awesome and it does seem to come to life. So I would recommend buying it, well worth it.
