The 2009 edition of World Wrestling Entertainment's reigning interactive entertainment title has players entering the sold-out arenas with a partner. More than before, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 is about teamwork -- tag-teamwork, to be precise. Two players can work together toward a Wrestlemania victory in an expanded co-op campaign. Working together, a good team can build momentum and become stronger as it progresses, gaining powerful moves. The game allows for team tactics, such as matching strengths and weaknesses and budgeting stamina, and players can perform the classic babyface beat-down turnaround: a hot tag to a raw and rested teammate who ready to smack both unready opponents down to the canvas. The 2009 edition's "Create-a-Finisher" feature allows players to create not only the look and attributes of their custom WWE superstars, but their finishing moves as well. Internet-connected players can take their game online to access additional downloadable content.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 (Playstation 3)
I am a huge fan of the Smackdown vs Raw series. I have had every game since it began. If you liked the past games in the SvR series, then this game is a must have! Most of the controls are the same as last year. So there will be no awkward attempts trying to get used to the game. The characters in the game are outstanding. A huge roster of over 60 people. Plus downloadable content that is soon to be released. Graphics are another amazing thing. The graphics are greatly improved from last year, and it looks a lot more smooth. Making this game one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. There are a couple of problems though. Such as: in Road to Wrestlemania mode. Its too short. As usual...ladies...limited game modes...except
One good thing about this game for Divas is that they can actually be used for Career Mode - but since you have to win all the belts for Career Mode, a diva fighting and winning against their way heavier counterparts does seem a tad unrealistic. What can I say though? The limited game modes divas can't play seem to even out that factor. No, I'm not like the sickos out there, I just find it more fun to play Hell in a Cell, and the Elimination Chamber with friends and all our created characters (including the girls).One good thing about this game for Divas is that they can actually be used for Career Mode - but since you have to win all the belts for Career Mode, a diva fighting and winning against their way heavier counterparts does seem a tad unrealistic. The Road to Wrestlemania mode was a nice diversion and the storylines albeit short were some of the best ever in a wrestling game.This game is the best Smackdown vs. Raw game so far. My only complaint is the camera angles. When outside of the ring you can't see your opponent or your character. There's 53 different characters to use so you never get bored. The best part is that rey mysterio can pick up big show no problem. Most of the superstars in the WWE now are in the game. The controls are extremely easy to use and the graphics are top notch.The controls are extremely easy to use and the graphics are top notch. The difficulty for the game can be changed. but if you have played for a while even the hardest setting becomes quite easy. I hope in the next versions more characters and match ... WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 09
This is a good game, the graphics are great and the game play is seemless. I liked some of the new features like the Road to Wrestlemania story mode although in this version you can no longer fight in the audiance. The fact that this game is a must if you play the the new Legends of Wrestlemainia because the smackdown vs. raw roster must be downloaded to finish the legend killer mode. In all it is a good play and I'd give it 4 out of 5This is a good game, the graphics are great and the game play is seemless. i just received this game today.i ordered it about two weeks ago so i was dying to play it.it has a very good roster all the big names cena, triple h, hbk, edge, the undertaker, randy orton and even vince mcmahon.the controls are a little hard to get use to at first but all in all a very good game. my rating for this game is 7 1/2 stars out of ten
